- Salary: $59,522 upon completing the academy (less than 1 year services)
- After 1 year of service: $60,117
- $5k sign-on bonus - half when graduating academy and other half when complete FTO

Qualifications
Essential Qualifications for Millsboro Police Department Candidates
Prospective applicants must meet the following qualifications:
- U.S. Citizenship: All candidates must be U.S. citizens.
- Age: Applicants must be 21 years old by the time they complete the academy.
- Examinations: Physical fitness test is pass/fail (first step in process). Candidates will be ranked based on written test scores (done on same day for those that pass PT).
- Background Check: A comprehensive background investigation is required.
- Medical and Psychological Assessments: Candidates must pass medical and psychological evaluations to ensure they are fit for duty.
